Management

Sana Shahzad is the full-time Manager of Intervene Project. Sana commenced her role in November 2024. Sana received her Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School and her LLB from the London School of Economics. Sana is a US Qualified Attorney whose past work experience includes working as a public defender, a public law caseworker and a fellow at an international human rights charity.

Volunteers

Denisa joined in November 2024. She studied Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Greenwich before completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law. She is a member of the Lincoln's Inn and hopes to qualify as a barrister. Her areas of interest are criminal, immigration, and family law. 

Akanksha Sharma joined in November 2024. She is a graduate from University of Essex in Public International Law and Human Rights. At the University she studied the law of nations, diplomacy, United Nations organisations and its working, and criminal law along with Human Rights with specific stress on war crimes, war and displacement, extradition, torture, human trafficking, and violations in prisons. She wishes to work in the criminal lawfield and human rights areas. She has extensive experience working as a criminal lawyer in India and is now working with Intervene Project. Human Rights, crimes against women and children and youth justice are her interest areas. She hopes to gain valuable experience working at Intervene which will pave the way for a better future for her in her endeavours of human rights issues and youth justice.

Oskar von Bulow is a recent graduate from SOAS, University of London. He studied a BA in History and Politics and focused on Far East Asian studies alongside South Asian and Middle Eastern regions as well. He is currently enrolled at BPP University studying a LLM Law Conversion with SQE1

Yasmin Traynor is a currently in her third year of an LLB at City, University of London, she has a keen interest in criminal law and aspires to build a career as a criminal barrister.

Danielle Aw is a volunteer legal assistant/caseworker at Intervene Project who joined in November 2024. She is currently in the final year of her LLB Law undergraduate degree at Royal Holloway, University of London. During her degree, she has studied European Union Law as well as Family Law which piqued her interest in the area of Human Rights law. Through her work at Intervene, she aims to gain valuable experience in reducing barriers to accessing legal aid, particularly in light of the challenges posed by the limited funding for legal support.

Maralmaa Munkhjargal is a volunteer at the Intervene Project. Maralmaa joined the Intervene Project in November 2024 and is a second year LLB student at King's College London. She has experience volunteering for different organisations such as Amicus ALJ and Amnesty International, and hopes to build more experience in working with clients and casework.

Jannath Khatun joined the project in November of 2024 following the completion of her LLB at Queen Mary University of London earlier this year. She studied Medical Negligence, Health Law, Justice and Ethics, and Intellectual Property Law In her third year. She seeks to gain valuable knowledge and insight into more human rights issues while she is volunteering with Intervene. She hopes to pursue the SQE route to becoming a solicitor in the upcoming year. 

Keshvi Naik is a volunteer caseworker at the Intervene Project. Keshvi joined the Intervene Project in November 2024, following the completion of her LLM and work experience placement as a student advisor at her university’s legal advice clinic. She aspires to qualify as a solicitor through the SQE route.

Caterina D’Angelo is a volunteer legal assistant at Intervene Project. Caterina joined the project in November 2024 and is a recent law graduate from The University of Law where she enrolled on the MA (SQE1). She aspires to become a criminal solicitor. She hopes to have a positive impact on the lives of prisoners and to gain more insights on the protection of their human rights.

Maddy is currently studying her GDL at City, University of London with the intention to become a criminal barrister. Before studying law, she completed an MA (Hons) in English at University of St Andrews. In her spare time she enjoys acting and comedy, producing her own plays and performing stand-up gigs as her alter-ego and doing horribly at pub quizzes.
