Management

Eitan Orenstein is the Project Manager of The Intervene Project. Eitan commenced his role in July 2025. Eitan received a First-Class degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2023. Prior to joining the Intervene Project, he worked on a frontline Democratic congressional campaign in the United States during the 2024 elections.

Volunteers

Manchet Jaswal is a penultimate year law student (LLB) at Royal Holloway, University of London, where she will be graduating in 2026 with a focus on public law, contract law and tort law. She volunteers at The Intervene project supporting clients in prison through legal advocacy and research.

Niamh Hughes is recently graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in History and Politics. With her degree, she focused on the politics of extremism and genocide, as well as exploring colonial narratives and gender history. She is currently enjoying a ‘gap year’ before embarking on her journey to become a commercial solicitor.

Shrimeti joined Intervene in September 2025. Originally from Geneva, she moved to England to study Law with International Relations (LLB) at the University of Surrey. She hopes to gain more understanding on the legal landscape and is committed to helping prisoners seek justice.

Olivia recently completed the MA Law Conversion from the University of Law, focussing her dissertation on Joint Enterprise post-Jogee. Prior to this, she graduated with a 2:1 in Spanish and Philosophy BA Hons from University College London. She volunteers for Intervene to support clients with matters such as human rights breaches, through legal advocacy and research. She is inspired by helping prisoners achieve just outcomes and expects this experience will prepare her well for the Bar. 

Nithin is currently pursuing his LL.M. at Cardiff University. During his time in the UK, he gained practical experience with Gold Oak Solicitors and Newfields Law, where he worked on immigration and asylum cases. He also wrote articles on criminal justice and police accountability as a Student Reporter for online newspaper magazine "The Justice Gap". Before coming to the UK, he completed his B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He then worked as a Junior Associate at SSA Legal and as a Law Clerk at the High Court of Kerala, where he carried out legal research, contract drafting, and assisted in dispute resolution. He is an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
